The project is expected to be awarded on March 10, 2025.** MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK for this project include the following approximate quantities: Pavement Removal 7,450 SY PCC Pavement, 7 Inch 7,450 SY Question Deadline 02/13/2025 at 6:00 PM CT Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond by a surety company registered to do business in the State of Iowa, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price and made payable to the City of Council Bluffs. A copy of the certified check, bid bond, or share draft is to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. If a company who has a check is awarded the bid, the City will request the physical check at that time. The certified check or share draft will be returned to the successful bidder once the agreement has been executed. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and will be cause for rejection of bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, a certificate of insurance and a certificate of equal employment opportunity and comply with minimum wage provisions as established by the U.S. Department of Labor. The work under the proposed contract shall be completed as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All work is to be completed on or before June 30, 2025. Work shall not begin prior to April 8, 2025, with a late start date of May 5, 2025. All work shall be completed within 8 weeks of mobilization. The City of Council Bluffs reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and waive any irregularities in the interest of the City.
