SCOPE OF CONTRACT This project is to replace existing two single-vault toilets with one double-vault toilet at Iron Lake Campground. Work includes, but is not limited to, arranging to have existing toilets pumped empty prior to removal; removing and disposing of existing toilet buildings and vaults; excavating and preparing the sites for a new vault toilet; and backfilling and compacting around the new vault after placement. The contractor is responsible for coordinating toilet replacement with the pre-cast concrete toilet manufacturer. The manufacturer is responsible for delivery, placement, and assembly of the new toilet. The Government will stake the locations of the new toilet to establish their orientation to assure proper functioning. The new building will be at the same location as the existing facility. See the Project Location Map for precise information on locations MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $25,000 and $100,000. INSPCETION OF WORKSITE The contractor acknowledges they have taken the necessary steps to ascertain the nature and location of work and have investigated and satisfied themselves as to the general and local conditions that can affect the work or its cost. Any failure of the contractor to take the actions described and acknowledged in this paragraph will not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility of estimating properly the difficulty and cost of successfully performing the work, or for proceeding to successfully perform the work without additional expenses to the government. C- 5 CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS a. All existing vegetation outside construction and clearing limits and not shown to be removed shall be preserved and protected. All disturbed areas shall be raked smooth and shaped to near natural and smooth appearance. b. The Contractor will establish a delivery schedule in cooperation with the manufacturer and give the Government 7 days' notice of the intended installation date at each site. c. The installation site may not be accessible to toilet delivery vehicles and may require transferring the building and vault to a trailer to transport to the installation site. The Contractor shall make this determination and work with the manufacturer to get the toilet to the installation site. PACKING AND MARKING All shipments of materials, equipment and/or supplies shall be addressed to the Contractor and not to the Government.
