Renovation of a municipal facility in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work of the project includes, but is not limited to building 17 new raised cabins on piles as indicated in the Bid and Contract Documents. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to THE ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND NATURAL RESOURCES STATE PARKS DIVISION in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory Labor and material Payment Bonds, insurance in compliance with requirements, and verification of E-Verify enrollment will be required at the signing of the Contract.This project is being bid under the provisions of Alabama Act 2000-684, which require the General Contractor, in part, to take advantage of the Owner's tax exempt status, obtain necessary certificates and other documentation required from the Alabama Department of Revenue, make payment for all materials, and to administer the sales and use tax savings portion of the project, as a part of their Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in their judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
