Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Elroy, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work for which bids are asked generally includes the following: oRetaining wall construction including approximately 350 linear feet of post and panel retaining wall (averaging 10-20 feet of exposed vertical face), 600 linear feet of drain tile installation, beam guard installation, chain link fencing, and two sets of cast-in-place concrete steps with railings. oSite preparation for a building including removals, grading and excavation, testing of and removal and disposal of contaminated material and temporary erosion control measures. oAlley construction including, pavement removal, 200 LF of concrete curb and gutter installation, salvaging and placing dense graded base, installation of approximately 700 tons of virgin dense graded base, paving approximately 365 tons of asphaltic concrete pavement, topsoil placement, turf restoration, and all other surface restoration necessary for a complete project. The anticipated substantial completion date is September 15, 2022 for all site preparation work, October 15, 2022 for all retaining wall related items and November 1, 2022 for all alley construction related items. Final completion date is anticipated to be December 31, 2022. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof The project will be partially funded through the Healthcare Infrastructure Grant Program. We encourage contractors to adhere to strong labor standards. We encourage contractors to prioritize in their procurements employers with high labor standards, local contractors, if possible, and to prioritize employers without recent violations of federal and state labor and employment laws. We encourage contractors to seek agreements that offer wages at or above the prevailing rate and include local hire provisions. The OWNER intends to work with a construction manager on the project. Work and contracts will be coordinated with the construction manager throughout the project along with other work that will occur concurrently on or immediately adjacent to this project area OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
