Orange County is soliciting statements of qualifications (SOQs) for Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection Services needed during the construction of the following Orange County facilities: Orange County Emergency Services Efland Emergency Services Substation and Medical Examiner's Quarters. New 5,574 SF Emergency Services Substation to include administrative offices, common areas, kitchen, sleeping quarters, decontamination showers, restrooms/showers, medical examiner's medical review quarters, cooler, and ambulance bay. Construction to consist of site work including but not limited to grading, filling, and backfilling the connection of utilities, asphalt parking areas, and reinforced concrete truck aprons in and around the station and sidewalks. The building construction includes but is not limited to CMU block, metal studs, gypsum board, concrete, structural steel framing, sloped to drain roof structure, PVC membrane roofing, aluminum storefront systems, brick veneer, cast stone veneer, metal wall panel veneer, premanufactured aluminum canopies, polished concrete, hard tile, carpeting, acoustical ceiling tile, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, finish grading, and landscaping. The building consists of EMS on one side of the building with Medical Examiner's Quarters on the opposite. The EMS portion of the building includes offices, kitchens, dayrooms, sleep rooms, vehicular storage, and accessory rooms for the servicing of the department. The Medical Examiner's Quarters include the examination and office work area with accessory rooms. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
