Renovation of a laboratory facility in Fort Pierce, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Base Bid: The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work in strict accordance with these Statement of Work/Specifications for the Replace (2) Air Handlig Units, Unit #9 and Unit #10, at the USDA-ARSSEA, Horticultural Lab located at Fort Pierce, FL. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and sow/specifications contained in this document. NOTE: The above general outline of principal features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor and materials required by the plans and specifications. Davis Bacon Wage Determination will apply. NAICS CODE: 238220 SIZE OF PROJECT: In accordance with FAR 36-204, the estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. SET ASIDE: This procurement is being set aside for Small Business. Proposals are due 06/20/2022, 3:00 PM CT, (COB). Air handling units (AHU) 9 and 10 require replacement. The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing units and install units equal to or greater than the existing units as approved by laboratory personnel. The newly installed units shall be tested by manufacturer and turned over to Lab in good running order as required by site personnel at end of installation of both units. The suggested unit and requirements for reference for equal or greater consideration is: THERMAL CORPORATION - Manufacturer Custom (Basis of Design) 100% Outside Air Handling Units Units are to be designed and custom manufactured specifically for this project and the space constraints. Units are manufactured for indoor use. Units will ship as a single piece and will disassembled and reassembled by the contractor after removal and disposal of existing AHU's 9 & 10. Air Handler Design is L-Shaped horizontal draw through Variable air volume with end intake and top discharge. Unit Frame to be Extruded Aluminum with Thermal Break, "No Through Metal" Design Two (2) inch double walled construction with high density injected foam insulation for unit walls, roof, and floor Exterior paint passes 6500-hour salt spray test. Exterior Panel required to be coated Galvanized Steel. Interior is unpainted 316 Stainless Steel for interior liner and floor 6" High Stainless-Steel base. Base will be split into sections so disassembly can be accomplished, and the base can be brought into the building for re-assembly. Hot Water Heating Coil. Coil will be split into sections as required by building constraints. HW Coils to be Copper Tube and Aluminum Fin. Coils are to be coated for corrosion protection *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than May 31, 2022, 4:00 ct COB, by e-mail notification to Huron Virden; huron.virden@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance.
