Site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in San Bernardino, California. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
The Department, Fire Hazard Abatement (FHA) Division completes fire hazard abatement inspections and abatement services under contract with cities and the County Fire Department within the five Supervisorial Districts of San Bernardino County. Approximately 500,000 parcels are inspected by the FHA Division annually for the purpose of identifying vegetative fire hazards and combustible debris, and approximately 50,000 Notices to Abate are issued annually to property owners for correction of these violations. FHA will assign an approved Contractor to abate the fire hazards on properties that remain non-compliant. FHA currently serves the areas of Big Bear City, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, Wrightwood, Lytle Creek, and the unincorporated areas including Bloomington, Mentone, Devore, Fontana, San Bernardino, Victorville, and the cities of Grand Terrace, Hesperia, Highland, Big Bear Lake and Yucaipa.
