Site work and paving for a road / highway in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The proposed improvement consists of constructing a single course bituminous surface treatment Type A-1. This work shall be done in accordance with Section 403 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction adopted January 1, 2022, at locations designated in the bid document or as directed by the City. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to sweep the streets both before the seal-coat operation and after the aggregate is placed to remove loose aggregate. The specified aggregate is CA16 trap rock. The loose aggregate swept will be hauled to the City property on Darst Street or as directed by the City. Necessary adjustments, incidentals and appurtenant items shall be constructed as directed by the City. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall be in compliance with specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. Within 24 hours after the letting, the two low bidders must file an "Affidavit of Availability" Form BC 57 in triplicate.
