Renovation of a municipal facility in Schenectady, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This is a NYS Public Works Project and Prevailing Wages MUST be paid. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Total MWBE Participation Goals: 30% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Upgrade the condenser and the air handling unit in the attic to a Carrier unit 2.5 tons or larger from the existing 2-ton unit. Vendor is responsible for increasing diameter of line set to accommodate the length of the run. We are looking for a unit that will be able to handle a MERV 13 filter. The vendor is required to conduct A/C assessment of the home to determine the correct size condenser and air handling system is required. Vendor will confirm that there is adequate supply and return lines for the upgraded system being installed, if not they are to add runs needed. Vendor is responsible for any addition work. A waterproof pan is required under the air handler in the attic. A water level safety alarm will also be required. The new unit will be installed to manufacture standards and will comply with all 2022 NYS codes. Any new duct work and accessible old duct work will be sealed with duct sealer mastic and rapped with an NBR/PVC Insulation Sheet, minimum 1 inch thick. The residence will be occupied at the time of the install, vendor will ensure the day-to-day operations are not disturbed. The new system shall comply with the current NYS Energy code. A COVID safety plan is attached with this scope of work and must be filled out prior to work.
