Eastern Kentucky University is seeking bids from qualified companies for the roofing project outlined in the bid documents. Completion Schedule: Work must be done no later than 10/1/2022 Questions Due - Submit via the Q and A Board within electronically. Questions will be addressed via Addendum that will be issued after the questions deadline and posted. Questions Due By: 5/30/2022 no later than 2:00PM Bid bonds and performance bonds are required. Work will begin immediately following an official Award of Contract and Purchase Order from Eastern Kentucky University. A point of contact for EKU Project Management will be provided to the awarded vendor at time of award. Eastern Kentucky University reserves the right to award in part or in whole and to award multiple suppliers/contracts if in the best interest of the university. Summary: Main RoofArea: New Fluid Applied silicone roof coating system (color will be EKU's choice oflight gray or white) over the prepared existing 2 ply SBS system. Warranty to be a 20 YR Manufacturers Labor and Material. B. Full replacement ofwet areas identified by recent infrared roofscan with matching 2 ply SBS and rigid insulation. Note: It is the burden ofthe installer/contractor is to verify all wet areas are completely removed/replaced, including but not limited to the areas already identified in recent infrared scan (2,896 square foot), to prepare for successful application offluid applied product. Must include a unit cost per square foot to replace any portion ofthe roofing system not included in the original bid and must promptly notify EKU Project Manager for documentation. C. Seal the existing concrete, CMU block parapet walls and concrete beams inside the mechanical well. D. Demo ofthe existing mechanical well concrete curb supports and metal caps that have been abandoned. Curbs with the metal roofing will remain. Demo ofthe existing mechanical well 2ply SBS roofsystem and insulation down to the concrete roof deck in preparation for the new roofsystem. Provide and install new l/8"/ft tapered ISO roof insulation having a 1/2" min thickness and !4" Dens Deck Prime cover board over the existing l/8"/ft sloped structural concrete deck. Install the required wood blocking between the new and old SBS roofsystem coming out ofthe mechanical well as required by the roofmanufacturer. A flush profile is expected since an overflow drain is not present. HVAC and Mechanical Equipment: Contractor awarded this bid is responsible for lifting and/or raising any equipment that is necessary to facilitate the proper installation ofthe roofing system(s) and flashing to meet manufacturer's specifications. Install new 22 ga metal coping to the (3) light monitor parapets. All other sloped parapets will receive waterproofing. It is the burden ofthe respondent to provide all appropriate site controls to ensure that all materials and products are installed/applied correctly.
