Qualified proponents are invited to submit responses in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal (hereafter referred to as RFP). McMaster has an intricate network of domestic water lines, ranging from buried to in-service tunnel, feeding approximately 55 buildings on campus. As part of its long-term strategy, McMaster would like to create a domestic water and sanitary waste water rehabilitation/replacement master plan which will provide scope and guidance on its successful renewal. The scope for the master plan will include but not limited to the following: Review of all underground and buried systems drawings pertinent to the domestic water system and sanitary waste water system. Create/modify/review of domestic water campus model. Proponent to review new projects (up to 2028) and provide recommendations for areas of improvement. Provide a comprehensive phasing plan for the replacement or rehabilitation (Cured in place piping) of all domestic water and sanitary waste lines (buried/in-tunnel) across campus. McMaster expects that the proponent will provide the appropriate method of renewal (rehabilitation or replacement) based on the age of piping, location of piping and the areas it serves as some buildings cannot accommodate extended water/sanitary lines shutdowns. Phasing plan will need to identify the following: Project phasing scope (plan drawing) Project Costs (Class D estimate) Schedule and impact on nearby buildings and landscape Project risks and opportunities Plans for reducing water interruptions in the buildings Permitting requirements Review of McMaster domestic water system and sanitary waste system standards for buried/in-tunnel piping and provide recommendations for improvements Provide a comprehensive report which includes all the aforementioned scope above as well as any other pertinent recommendations. The consultant must have in depth knowledge of the operation of wastewater collection systems and water distribution systems and be knowledgeable of rehabilitation (trenchless) and replacement methods. Recommendations must ensure cross-dependencies between existing and new systems. Please do not embed any documents within your uploaded files, as they will not be accessible or evaluated. Proponents will receive an email confirmation receipt with a unique confirmation number upon finalizing their submissions. All submissions must be submitted prior to the Close Date.
