GSA-BMD provides janitorial, maintenance, and operation services for over 121 Alameda County-owned facilities comprising approximately 5,400,000 square feet of building space. These buildings include offices, courts, detention facilities, veterans' buildings, clinic buildings, firing ranges, parking structures, and training facilities. Some of the detention facilities are cleaned by the inmates or wards of ACPD. GSA-BMD and the ACPD all provide maintenance services to ensure clean, safe, and functionally operative facilities. The County is seeking to contract with a qualified vendor to purchase environmentally preferable cleaning products wherever feasible. The County seeks to purchase cleaning products that represent a lesser impact on public health and the environment than competing products and address specific environmental and health concerns. The County reserves the right to reject any or all responses that materially differ from any terms contained in this RFQ or from any Exhibits attached hereto, to waive informalities and minor irregularities in responses received, and to provide an opportunity for Bidders to correct minor and immaterial errors contained in their submissions. The decision as to what constitutes a minor irregularity shall be made solely at the discretion of the County.
