This is a multi-year opportunity starting immediately through the life of the projects awarded. Supply all required engineering services for construction projects within BC Parks in the Okanagan section of the Kootenay/Okanagan region. Projects include Capital Projects either currently underway, or planned for start of construction within this period, and small operational maintenance projects - Supply required design engineering, tendering, construction, inspection/certification service - Assess condition of current systems and components (water, septic, electrical, etc) - Survey existing and proposed system locations - Designing draft replacement systems, or modifications to existing - Reviewing draft designs with Ministry staff and revising to incorporate comments / concerns - Coordinate any approvals required (Interior Health (water & septic), MOE (septic), BC Hydro/Fortis, etc.) - Compile tender documents for construction, and attending Tender & Pre-construction meetings - Conduct regular site inspections and joint progress meetings - Reviewing extra work claims and certifying % completion for progress payments - Compiling contemplated and change orders - Certifying Substantial Completion, compiling deficiency lists, and certifying total completion - Revising construction drawings to "as-builts" - When Applicable: Compiling component information into system operations manual including: start-up, shut down, and emergency procedures. In addition, when applicable, conduct a training/orientation session for BC Park staff and contractors for the operation system. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
