https://images.apollo.ai/articles/pdfs/3133182_115_06-16-2022.pdf Shelton Trustees table water and sewer project on Ayers Street Village engineers unable to attend meeting Shelton's Village Board of Trustees worked through a short summertime agenda dur-ing its regular monthly meet-ing on Thursday, June 9. As part of the consent agen-da, board members approved the appointment of Theresa Sinner to the Shelton Housing Authority Board. Mrs. Sinner's application for the position stated, "I would like to be more involved in my community." Trustees were to award the Ayres Street Water and Sewer Project at Thursday night's meeting, but tabled that action as the village's engineers were unable to attend the meeting. Board members also approved the purchase of fireworks from Wald's All American Display, of Green-wood, Missouri, for $5,590.00. The funds for the fireworks was raised by the Shelton Fire-works Fund, including funds from Give Where You Live. Trustees discussed putting a sales and use tax on the No-vember general election ballot which would only be used by the village for paving improve-ments. The proposed tax would raise an estimated $300,000 over five years and sunset on April 1, 2028. No decisions were made; however, village clerk Bonnie Doremus noted that the sales tax question is required to be at the Buffalo County Election Commission-er's office by September 1 to appear on the fall ballot. In other business, the board approved compensation of $10.00 per hour for Shelton Public Library intern Erin Gegg. The next regular meeting of the Shelton Village Board of Trustees will be Thursday, July 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the commu-nity room. The public is invited to attend. Check the village website for any changes to the meeting schedule. _______________ Furnish all equipment, labor, materials and appurtenances required to construct approximately 1,000 L.F. of 6" water main and 1,000 L.F. of 8" sewer main, and other such work as may be incidental to AYRES STREET WATER/SEWER IMPROVEMENTS.
