There is a pre-bid meeting for this project to be held at 10 am EDT on June 13, 2022 at the Springs Valley Recreation Area at the dam parking area. c. There is a requirement to submit a technical proposal with your offer. See Section L & M for preparation instructions. d. There is a requirement for bonding and/or payment protections (Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC) or payment bond) if quote is over $35,000. e. This is a construction project which has the following bonding requirements: - 20% bid bond for offers over $150,000 required with offer submission. - 100% performance and payment bonds for offers over $150,000 upon award. You must submit pricing for all items, including any option items and/or option years. g. The period of performance is July 18, 2022 through December 31, 2022. SCOPE OF CONTRACT The project consists of armoring Springs Valley Lake dam. The work consists of placing rip rap along the face of the dam at the waterline. The project area has an access road that runs along the edge of the tree line. The access has been hardened with aggregate. The top of the dam which is part of the trail system has also had the trail hardened with aggregate. The project has two optional work Items that will be awarded based on available funding at the time of the project award. C.2 PROJECT LOCATON The project is located on the Tell City Ranger District of the Hoosier National Forest in Orange County. Springs Valley Lake (AKA Tucker Lake) is located along County Rd 650 W, 2 miles East of SR-145 following Base Line Road. C.3 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $100,000 and $250,000 Offerors are encouraged to submit all questions in writing at least five (5) days prior to the conference. Questions will be considered at any time prior to or during the conference; however, offerors will be asked to confirm verbal questions in writing.
