The City of Newberg ("City") is soliciting bids for N College Street Water Line Improvements Project ("Project"). The Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision for the construction and completion of approximately 2,670 linear feet of 12- inch, 30 linear feet of 10-inch, 100 linear feet of 8-inch, and 20 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main installation with surface restoration; connections to existing water mains, fire hydrant assemblies, services, and abandonment of existing 10-inch water main and services; and installation of two 18-inch insertion valves on existing concrete cylinder transmission main as shown on the construction plans. Approval of traffic control plan and permit are required from the Oregon Department of Transportation. The anticipated cost to construct the Project is between $900,000 and $1,200,000. (The Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued in July 2022.). Bidders must be prequalified to perform work in the following classes: Water Line Construction, Asphalt Concrete Paving & Oiling, Pavement Markings, Miscellaneous Roadway Facilities, Landscaping, and Temporary Traffic Control, along with any subcontractors performing these work items. Each bidder is required to submit a completed Contractor's Prequalification Application Form that can be found at website.
