Ontario Tech University (ONTARIO TECH) is seeking proposals from general contractors to complete interior renovations at 55 Bond., Oshawa. As part of continued efforts to improve efficient use of our downtown buildings, ONTARIO TECH is completing interior renovations to two (2) floors within 55 Bond Street to generate the building as a new location for Labs being relocated from 11 Simcoe. Floor plans showing existing conditions and the "NEW" renovation plans are included in the Associated Bid Documents. A brief description of work includes but is not limited to the following scope of work, note all drawings are to be read in conjunction: - All existing conditions, heights, materials, verified prior to work commencement. - Demolition of existing drywall partitions and installation of new gypsum board partitions - Demolition of existing glazed doors and screens and installation of new; doors and screens and hardware and salvaged doors screens and hardware. - Supply and installation of new ceiling tile and grid to match existing - Relocation and new installations for the following; receptacles, air grilles, fixtures, sprinklers, emergency lighting, exit lighting, sensors, wall switches, thermostats. - New phone jacks will be required along with additional new data outlets. - Reconfiguration of the supply and return ducting to suit new layouts and additional spaces created. - Installation of new door operators - Card reader installations and will be covered under the Cash Allowance. - Rough in of all conduits by electrical contractor for all cabling work including; relocation of 4 cables, adding 7 new cables as shown, mount label 1 AP, tests all cables, new faceplates by Ontario Tech Universities VOR - Bell. - General Contractor to coordinate and manage all work with VOR. - Supply and Installation of new painted HM doors and hardware and screens. - Demolition and installation of existing and new carpet tile and stone tile. - Supply and installation of new premanufactured wall panels to infill door and screen removals on the Fourth Floor. - Furniture removals and relocations as required. - Coordination with Otis Elevator and Security Contractor under the Cash allowance for all card reader installations. - Contractor to apply for permit as required. - Submittal of all close out documentation is required.
