Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary or required to perform and construct, complete in place and in satisfactory condition, remove and replace sidewalk, remove and replace driveway, root pruning, curb & gutter and all related items as shown on the plans and specified herein and as directed by Project Manager in the field. Removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, driveways, curb and gutter shall be in accordance with Appendix A. Bids must be accompanied by a Proposal guarantee amounting to ten (10%) percent of the bid as described in the specifications. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him (1) enter into a contract with the City and (2) furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the privilege of rejecting any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for opening of proposals. The term of the contract shall be for one year or until total billings equal One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000) whichever comes first from the award date.
