Scope of Work The scope of work includes repairs and renovations of the existing 6,400 GSF Visitor Center at Historic Halifax located at the intersection of St. David Street and Dobbs Street in Halifax, NC. The initial scope of work will include a Conceptual Plan that will provide an evaluation of the existing site, architectural, structural and engineering repairs required for the Visitor Center and will also include a summary of renovation recommendations that will improve the functional layout and building systems updates for the Visitor Center. Following the approval of the Conceptual Plan and Preliminary Cost Estimate, the scope of work will consist of the Basic Services for the design for the Repair and Renovation of the Visitor Center. One goal for the project is to be able to accommodate the hosting of the original National Archives copy of the 'Halifax Resolves' for the semi-quincentennial of America in 2026. It is highly desired that interested firms have a demonstrated minimum 10 years prior experience in their area of expertise in visitor center and/or museum planning and design.
