The Morgan County Jail is accepting bids for plumbing repair listed below at the jail. Rehab seven pipe chases serving the jail cells in a two-story structure. Service will include removing all cast iron and duct work in pipe chase to gain access to fixtures. Cast iron is showing issues and needs replaced. Along with replacing the cast iron, all galvanized drains in chase will be replaced. Service will include reworking copper in pipe chase and adding isolation valves in order to service individual fixtures without shutting down whole system. Duct work will be re-routed in each chase to allow for future access to fixtures. All cell fixtures wil be re-purposed using original manufactures parts Only item not being replaced is the stainless-steel fixture in the cell itself. All bolt on parts will be replaced. Description of Work: Services to replace 2 Tabco faucets, 2-1 1/2 P-traps, 4-1/2 angle stops, re-pipe drains for a 2-compartment sink , replace T&S faucet sprayer, 4 supply lines and a Delta single handle faucet. Description of Work: Mechanical room does not have a mixing valve installed. When new water heaters were installed the mixing valve was disconnected. The mixing valve is needed for scald prevention in the showers. Mechanical room needs to be reworked and mixing valve needs to be installed. Bids should not include -Painting or patching walls -Fire protection -Site utilities -Concrete and/or Asphalt related work -Bond -New Electrical -Contingency -Excavation in rock -Gas piping -Design and/or Engineering fees.
