This Bid consists of two projects under one Contract. The intent of the work for North Spooky Lane is the paving, striping, and signage for approximately 480 linear foot of 18' wide existing dirt road. This portion of the project includes the installation of 4 new drainages structures and associated conveyance. Work for U.S. 98 Pedestrian facilities includes Construction of an approximate 1.2 miles long, eight-foot-wide asphalt multi-use path. Last date to submit questions is November 28th, 2022, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to waljames@co.walton.fl.us. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER AND ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. For the North Spooky Lane Portion: Paving, striping, and signage for approximately 480 linear foot of 18' wide existing dirt road known as North Spooky Lane off Scenic Highway 30A. This portion of the project includes the installation of 4 new drainages structures and associated conveyance. Coordination with utility provider is required. New water and sewer lines will be installed by utility provider. Contractor will be required to maintain access to homes on North Spooky Lane during construction For the US 98 Pedestrian Facilities Portion: Construction of an approximate 1.2 miles long, eight-foot-wide asphalt multi-use path. Other work includes turnout construction for paved driveways, minor thermoplastic striping, sod, signs and the erosion control and maintenance of traffic needed to construct the multi-use path. Utility coordination and minor relocation by the Contractor will be necessary. This portion of the project falls within FDOT Right of Way and work shall conform with FDOT Construction Agreement 2020-C-390-00001, included herein as Attachment 1. A Bid Alternate for thicker base and asphalt to make the path traffic bearing is also included. Project must be performed in accordance with Section 334 of the Walton County Special Provision for Hot Mix Asphalt, attached to the Draft Contract in this ITB as Exhibit A. In the event of a conflict between the specifications included in this Invitation to Bid, the specifications of Section 334 shall take precedence over the FDOT specifications related to Hot Mix Asphalt
