The Building Inspector for the City of Harriman, Tennessee has declared the subject properties a public nuisance due to abandonment and dilapidation of existing structure(s). The structure(s) are not secure and pose a haven for illegal squatters. The structure(s) have not been properly maintained for an extended period of time. These properties pose a safety risk due to the harborage of rodents and vermin and do not meet current property maintenance, building and fire codes. The City of Harriman has made legal notice to all known interested parties to remove and abate the nuisance and to take steps necessary to ensure that the properties and residence are no longer a fire and safety hazard. The City of Harriman is requesting bids for services from licensed and insured contractors to abate the nuisance by the demolition, disposal of said structure(s), clean-up, fill any crawl spaces or basement with fill dirt to grade, prep, seed and straw. The desired schedule is as follows:Tentatively to begin the week of 20 June 2022 and finish by 19 September 2022. All persons entering into a contract with the City of Harriman shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable City, State, and Federal provisions pertaining to nondiscrimination, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action. The successful contractor shall be able to demonstrate the following: 1. Quality of similar work that has been provided for the City of Harriman and / or for other public and private entities. The bid shall be given in a single amount for each property and /or properties. Contractor shall be paid the contract price upon completion of all work required by this contract.
