Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cleveland, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The District is taking bids for a Ninety (90) days requirement contract for Grit removal and disposal at the Euclid Creek Tunnel Shaft 1 (ECT-1) site. The purpose of this bid, and the requirement contract awarded following an evaluation of the bids received, is for the contractor to provide all labor, tools, and equipment as required for grit removal and disposal from the sump pit located within the Euclid Creek Tunnel Shaft 1 that captures grit upstream of the Easterly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station (ETDPS). The sump pit is approximately 200 feet below ground level. Removing the accumulated grit will alleviate it from being pumped through the ETDPS pumps. Contractors shall provide all permits, fees, tests, inspections, certifications, and applicable requirements relative to the execution of the scope of work specified herein. Grit Removal at ECT-1 Shaft Site The purpose of this bid, and the requirement contract awarded following an evaluation of the bids received is to provide the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, herein after referred to as the "District" with grit removal and disposal from the sump pit at the Euclid Creek Tunnel Shaft 1 (referred to as ECT-1) site. The contractor shall be responsible for the following: - Providing equipment and personnel necessary to remove grit material from an underground tunnel shaft sump at a depth of approximately 200 feet. - Mobilize equipment for the grit removal to the ECT-1 shaft site. - Remove approximately 290 tons of grit material from the ECT-1 shaft site. - Haul and dispose of non-hazardous material offsite to an authorized facility. - Provide cleanup of all debris generated from work conducted at the ECT-1 shaft site. Contractorshall be responsible for all permits, fees, tests, inspections, certifications, and applicable requirements relative to the execution of the scope of work specified herein. Contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, fuel, parts, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, incidentals, codes and standards, personal protective/safety equipment and devices, manuals, procedures, and services necessary for the safe, injury free completion of all services performed under the scope of this Contract. Contractor shall be aware that work indicated under this Contract includes the handling and treatment of municipal sewage. The ECT-1 Site and associated equipment may be contaminated with sewage that may or may not have received some type of treatment.
