The Saraland Water and Sewer System is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified firms and individuals interested in providing professional engineering and construction inspection services related to the implementation of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), project/activity funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and other program funds. The successful applicant will provide engineering and design for Community Development Block Grant Sewer Improvements associated with the Saraland Sanitary Sewer Collection and Treatment System. The project may include but will not be limited to improvements to the sanitary sewer collection system, manhole rehabilitation and lift stations. Firms interested in performing the work will be considered on the basis of a written response to this request for qualifications. All applicants must submit their statement of qualifications and list any prior experience with Federal and State programs, especially CDBG projects and/or other HUD or Federal agency related projects, particularly projects similar in nature and scope to the above services being requested. Also include the names and registration numbers of individuals involved in this project when performing professional services. Statements of Qualifications will be rated according to the following criteria: Prior experience with CDBG and/or HUD programs 30 pts Professional Qualifications 30 pts Experience with design and administration of projects of similar scope 30 pts Ability to meet production schedule within budget 10 pts These Statements of Qualifications are being requested in accordance with 2 CFR 200.320 (b) (2), as issued by the Office of Management and Budget. The firm that is selected will be notified and a contract negotiated. The contract will be for a period coinciding with the completion and closeout of the project for which services are being requested. Additional services related to this or other projects of a similar nature may be contracted under this solicitation at the option of the Saraland Water and Sewer System. The Saraland Water and Sewer Systems reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the proposal process. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
