Order of magnitude is approximately $350,000. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. The major items of roadway work shall include, but not limited to removal and replacement of wood waste and related work in accordance with the contract plans, special provisions, and the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Time for completion of the work is limited to 30 working days. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority. The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.
