Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chesterfield, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Scope of Work: Cogbill/Hopkins/Chippenham Park and Ride Lot and Sidewalk involves the construction of grading, paving, drainage, traffic, sidewalk and park and ride lot. The proposed improvements total approximately 700 linear feet and generally involve pedestrian improvements to the existing Cogbill Road and Hopkins Road intersection, sidewalk improvements to Cogbill Road, and construction of a proposed park and ride lot at the Fulghum Center. These improvements consist of installation of sidewalk from the intersection of Cogbill Road and Hopkins Road to the proposed park and ride lot, construction of a pedestrian signalized crossing and a pedestrian median refuge on Hopkins Road, and construction o f a 142-space park and ride lot (118 vehicle spaces and 24 bicycle spaces) at the Fughum Center. The project also consists of the design of curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer and stormwater management (SWM) basin. The work will include clearing, grading, asphalt paving, drainage structure, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings and other items necessary for the completion of the work. All the information is posted in the ITB and the geotechnical report. There is not an actual project manual/spec book for this project.
