For the services of a professional licensed and bonded contractor to install two Owner supplied direct embedded steel power poles ("Project") for the City of McMinnville, a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon acting by and through its Water & Light Commission ("Owner" or "McMinnville Water & Light" or "MW&L"). Bids will be accepted by MW&L's Purchasing Manager, Chad Hudson, The work is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 or 40 U.S.C. Section 3141, et seq.; prevailing wage rate of pay does apply to this Project. The awarded Contractor is required to have a Public Works Bond on file with the Oregon CCB before work begins. The Project consists of furnishing all qualified professional personnel, supervision, construction labor, equipment and consumables to install two MW&L supplied direct embedded steel power poles. The poles are 70' and 77' transmission poles and will be installed at the intersection of West 2nd Street and Hill Road in McMinnville, OR. The poles are currently in stock at MW&L. Bids shall be submitted on the prescribed forms and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed in favor of McMinnville Water & Light in the amount of 10% of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary performance and payment bonds for the faithful performance of the contract as prescribed in the Contract Documents. McMinnville Water & Light may reject any Bid not in compliance with the contract provisions and all prescribed Public Contracting procedures and requirements, including the requirement to demonstrate the Bidder's responsibility under ORS 279C.375(3)(b), and may reject for good cause all Bids after finding that doing so is in the public interest. MW&L also reserves the right to waive informalities in a bid submission if in best interest of McMinnville Water & Light.
