Hillsdale Community Schools (RCS) will receive sealed bid proposals from qualified contractors for the project: 2023 HVAC UPGRADES - VARIOUS SCHOOLS. The work involves the removal and installation of heating equipment and supporting electrical systems at various schools. One prime contractor will be awarded for all of the work. The project includes removal and replacement of the following: 1. Various heating equipment in approximately 20 classrooms, 2. Ceiling Hung Cabinet Unit Heaters in approximately 6 locations 3. Kitchen make up air units at 2 locations. 4. The addition of 10 air cooled condensing units. The provisions of the Davis-Bacon (Michigan) Prevailing Wage Act will apply. All bid proposals shall be submitted on the bid proposal forms provided in the specification book and completed in accordance with the bid proposal instructions. All bidders shall provide signed and notarized forms as found in the specification booklet: 1. Affidavit disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Bidder or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the HCS or the superintendent of the HCS in accordance with MCL 380.1267. 2. Affidavit of compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act certifying the contractor does and will comply with MCL 129.3312. 3. Statement of Conflict of Interest certifying the Bidder does and will comply with MCL 15.322 4. Statement that bidder is not a Suspended or Debarred Vendor in the State of Michigan 5. A Michigan based business preference of the lesser value of 5% or $10,000 will apply in determining awards. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bids shall accompany each proposal. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid date. Additional bond requirements are listed in the bid specifications. Substantial completion from all trades' work shall be August 18, 2023. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bid proposals which they feel to be in their own best interest.
