The supplier will be required to furnish a copy of the gradation results and/or samples of the material to Shawnee County for testing. Shawnee County will provide the equipment and labor to haul the rock material from the quarry to its road maintenance facilities. As a result, Shawnee County reserves the right to factor in transportation costs in determining the best bid for procurement of the material. Therefore, the bidder shall list in its bid form the physical address of the quarry from which the material is to be hauled. As such, Shawnee County reserves the right to enter into a contract with more than one bidder if transportation costs increase the total cost to acquire and deliver the material to a particular road maintenance facility compared to that of another quarry. In addition, Shawnee County reserves the right to procure material from the supplier providing the second best bid if the supplier submitting the best bid is unable to supply the quality or quantity bid within the timeframes stated below. Material produced for Shawnee County is to be stored in a separate stockpile at the quarry site and reserved specifically for Shawnee County's use.
