Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bolivia, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Brunswick County Board of Education is seeking qualified architectural firms to provide architectural services for the room number evaluation services. Attached you will find a "Request for Qualifications" which identifies the project(s) anticipated to be undertaken by Brunswick County Board of Education during the contract period. The general scope of services is to ensure that existing conditions at 19 district schools align with information contained in the owner's property book (floor plans, room identification), fire alarm annunciators, and fire alarm read-out data. This will be accomplished by site visits, documentation review, and documentation correction. Correct information is required for public safety and emergency response. However, due to the downstream effects of changing room identifications, the designer will minimize changes unless absolutely necessary. Firms providing responses shall be licensed and responsible for complying with North Carolina laws, regulations, and local ordinances. The Brunswick County Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any and all responses to the Request for Qualifications, and to accept any responses which in its opinion may be in the best interest of Brunswick County Board of Education. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
