Site work and paving for a civil project in Salina, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The 50' long 10' by 4' culvert under Winn Road south of Northwood Lane (Google link) needs replacing. We expect the project will include: Installation of simple traffic control - road closed to through traffic at nearest intersections, road closed at culvert; Removal of the pavement over the culvert; Excavation of earthwork to and around the culvert; Removal of the existing culvert and wingwalls; Stabilizing the subgrade and installing bedding beneath the replacement culvert; Installation of a cast-in-place or precast replacement culvert of similar size; Installation of wingwalls that accommodate two 30 inch pipes east of Winn Road; Compaction of earthwork over and around the replacement culvert; Replacement of concrete pavement; Removal of traffic control. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
