The City of Ames, Iowa (City) is seeking proposals from interested Service Contractors for a three-year Biosolid Disposal Operation contract. Contractors are invited to submit demonstrated competence and qualifications for providing these services. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications now available on AmesBids or on file in the Purchasing office of Ames, Iowa, which, by this reference are made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein. All proposals received after the deadline for submission of proposals as stated herein shall not be considered and shall be return to the late Contractor unopened. Contractor assumes all risk associated with delivery of their proposal prior to the specified time deadline. Proposal shall be made on the Proposal Form furnished in AmesBids. The general nature of the work of which proposals are requested is a Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) Three-Year Biosolids Disposal Operation Contract. Contract period to July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022 with two (2) one year renewals. No Contractor may withdraw their proposal for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receiving proposals. The prices quoted herein are exclusive of all taxes such as sales and use taxes. The City of Ames is exempt from the following taxes: State of Iowa Sales and Use Taxes by Certificate No. 85-499, and Manufacturer's Federal Excise Tax by Registration No. A-102678. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provision grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes.
