SCOPE OF WORK: This project entails the maintenance of traffic; the maintenance of erosion sediment control; saw cutting of existing bituminous concrete, the demolition & removal of existing concrete, curb, bituminous concrete, storm drain structure, storm drain pipe; excavation and backfill; hauling and stockpiling of material; installation of sand filter, new concrete curb, sidewalk and sidewalk with turned down edge, sidewalk ramps outlet control structure, storm drain pipe, alleys and alley entrances, topsoil, seed and mulch, relocation of signs; and all labor, material, time, and appurtenances required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by the City of Hagerstown, MD. PRE-BID QUESTIONS: Questions for the project will be accepted until Friday, June 24, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Forty-five (45) working days is the length of the contract. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages are assessed at $300.00 per day. FUNDING: Funding for this project is provided by The City of Hagerstown, Maryland; Stormwater Fund. BID BOOKLET: The separate Bid Booklet attachment shall be completed by the Bidder & submitted as the Sealed Proposal. BID SURETY: 10% Bid Bond, Cashiers Check or Certified Check to be submitted with the Sealed Proposal. CONTRACT BONDS: The successful Bidder shall submit a 100% Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond upon award of contract. ESTIMATED START:Notice to Proceed will be issued around August 2022.
