The City of Benton will receive bids on a General Contract for the removal and reconstruction of an existing box culvert. Removal and disposal of existing storm drainage pipe and structures and construction of new storm drainage pipe and structures. Removal and reconstruction of curb and gutter, concrete driveways, ADA ramps, cold milling and asphalt inlay. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the City of Benton, Arkansas in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances and regulations.
