All bids should include the VA Contractor License number listed on the outside of the envelope, a total project cost, as well as a unit cost for each fixture. This project will receive federal funding so provisions of the Davis Bacon Act will apply. Bids will be opened virtually at that time and all bidders will be given a ZOOM link to participate in the live bid opening. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days except as expressly provided for and outlined under the Code of Virginia. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids when such rejection is in the interest of the owner and to reject the bid or bidder who is not able to perform the contract. The owner also reserves the right to waive any and all technical defects in the execution of any formalities in the submission of any bid. SCOPE OF WORK Furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision require to install touch-free restroom fixtures in the following ten (10) County Schools: Accawmacke Elementary, Arcadia High, Arcadia Middle, Chincoteague Elementary, Chincoteague High, Kegotank Elementary, Metompkin Elementary, Nandua High, Nandua Middle, and Pungoteague Elementary. The approximate number of fixtures to be replaced are as follows: 319 Closet Flush Valves, 93 Urinal Flush Valves, and 282 Deck Mount Faucets. Bids should be based on these numbers, but will need to be verified by contractor that is awarded the job, at that time if numbers increase or decrease there will be a per unit cost adjustment. Bids should include a pre-unit cost, and a total project cost. This work will need to be scheduled and completed during the summer either 2022 or 2023, and all restrooms will need to be fully functional by the start of the school Session 2023.
