The existing system is a 26 zone Hunter controlled system. The objective is to make repairs and adjusts to the system to return the system to good working order. The HOUSTON COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM certifies that the use of competitive sealed bidding will be practical or advantageous to the Library System in completing the acquisition described in this RFP. Competitive sealed proposals will be submitted in response to this RFP. All proposals submitted pursuant to this request will be made in accordance with the provisions of this RFP HCPL reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in any proposal, to act as sole judge of the merit of each response submitted, to select a firm based on the criteria stated. The scope of work is as follows: A. Provide a comprehensive system analysis of the systems current condition in order to determine what needs to be repaired, replaced and relocated. B. Replace irrigation nozzles, mechanics and heads in all zones unless determined to be in good working order and sufficient to last another 5 years. C. Replace and repair valves and lines as needed to return the system to good working order. D. Relocate lines and heads to best provide head-to-head coverage for current conditions, bushes and trees.
