Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Ottawa, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 900-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
The LeBreton Flats Master Conceptual Plan includes various developments on 29-hectares of land near the Ottawa River. LeBreton Flats is located within close proximity to downtown Ottawa and Confederation Boulevard, within the core area boundary. LeBreton Flats is broken out into four main districts , with various buildings uses and up to 4,000 residential units. Flats District: 6-storey, mid-rise buildings with towers on top of mid-rise podiums, offices, commercial and/or institutional buildings. TIIMELINE: The NCC has agreed to an offer to lease with Canadian developers Avenue 31 Capital Inc. and Cogir for the development of a 1.63-hectare portion of the Flats District at LeBreton Flats. With this offer to lease, the NCC is moving forward with the implementation of its LeBreton Flats Master Concept Plan. Once completed, this project will deliver at least 900 new homes, including affordable and three-bedroom units; Net-zero-carbon buildings that will connect to a future district energy system; Pedestrian-friendly local streets with transit and active transportation as the primary and preferred modes of travel; A community benefits plan to generate public benefits; A plan to generate benefits for the Algonquin Nation. Throughout 2024, negotiation of lease terms and advancement of design work will continue. Design for the Flats Phase development will be subject to the federal land use, design and transaction approval process. Finalization of the lease is targeted for the end of 2024.
