The purpose of the project is to furnish all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction and testing of Test Production Well No. 3 and associated monitoring wells for the Polk County Regional Water Cooperative in accordance with plan sheets and project manual outlined in the bid documents. This selection is for three years of service, starting in 2022 and extending through 2024. Deadline for submitting questions is Wednesday, June 15, 2022, 4:00 p.m. The construction cost estimate for the project is $3,301,000. WBE (6.9%) This project consists of construction and testing of four wells at the Southeast Wellfield for the Polk Regional Water Cooperative (OWNER) Southeast Lower Floridan Aquifer Water Production Facility (SE LFAWPF). The work will include construction of one (1) surficial aquifer monitor well (SE-TPW3-SA), one (1) upper Floridan aquifer (SE-TPW3-UFA) construction water source/monitor well, one (1) lower Floridan monitor well (SE-TPW3-LFA), and one (1) lower Floridan aquifer test/production well (SE-TPW3). SE-TPW3-LFA will serve as the hydrogeological test well for the site and SE-TPW3 will serve as a production well for the SE LFAWPF. B. Well SE-TPW3-LFA will be used as a test well to obtain data on the hydrogeology of LFA strata below the base of the production zone. A borehole will be drilled to the base of the LFA and then backplugged to the base of the production zone. C. The work shall be performed by a licensed Florida Water Well Contractor with equipment which is adequate to complete all phases of well construction. All work shall be completed in full conformance with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) rules and regulations for water wells, or these Specifications, whichever is more stringent. The CONTRACTOR shall establish his sequence of work based on requirements outlined in Sections 02050, 02051, 02052 and 02053. The contract time for this project is a total of 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed to reach Substantial Completion and 425 calendar days from Notice to Proceed for Final Completion
