The Project includes the addition of a sloped shingle roof with steel trusses to the "original" classroom building, re-roof of the classroom "addition" building, old gymnasium, and kitchen building along with asbestos abatement, and associated mechanical and electrical system upgrades. New fascias, soffits, edge metal, metal coping, gutters and downspouts. The project also includes the addition of roof insulation, modification of existing equipment curbs to maintain 8" clearance above roof and new RTUs. The General Contractor shall provide a fully qualified superintendent that is a full time employee of the General Contractor on site at ALL times when Work on site is occurring. A cashier's check or Bid Bond payable to Calhoun County Board of Education, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the proposal, but in no event more than $10,000 must accompany the bid. Performance and Statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interest of the owner will thereby be promoted. Performance time: The project is a single-phase project and is to be completed within 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages apply to this project per the supplementary conditions.
