This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the supply and delivery of furniture for the new Waterloo Regional Police Central Division, located at 200 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario. The Region of Waterloo, recently purchased 200 Frederick Street, which is undergoing a large renovation project that will house the Waterloo Regional Police Services. The existing Central Division, located at 134 Frederick Street, will be relocated into the larger building. The building will allow for future growth to keep up with the rapidly expanding population within the Region of Waterloo. The furniture in this RFP includes items for lunch rooms, lounge areas, lobbies, quiet rooms, interview rooms, meeting spaces, and various other locations. Please refer to Section C for a detailed breakdown of furniture requirements. The Region is looking for neutral, warm, beige, tones with accents of navy strategically into the public realm of soft seating (lobby benches, soft seating, lunchroom, spill over areas). Furniture installation will be scheduled for week of December 12th, 2022. Proposals will be accepted for consideration on any make or model that is equal to or superior to the specifications outlined within the document. Decisions of equivalency will be at the sole interpretation of the Region. Requests for alternates must be made in writing to the designated official listed within this document. All Contractors must submit for WRPS Security clearances upon award of contract. This process generally takes 3 months.
