Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of June 16, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 21, 2022. The contractor awarded the 2022 Roadwork Assistance Program contract, if any, will provide certain materials and equipment rentals (with operators) to assist the Township's Department of Public Works in resurfacing public streets and municipal parking lots, including profile milling as required; and will resurface asphalt sidewalks and construct concrete sidewalks as directed, all in accordance with the Specifications and Information to Bidders prepared by the Township. NOTE: The successful bidder must be available a minimum of 1-2 days per week for the duration of the program until all streets are completed. The program is estimated to run from June 30th to September 30th, 2022. No bids shall be received other than at the time and place herein designated for their receipt, unless mailed to the Township Clerk for receipt at the designated time and place. Written questions regarding the bid specifications may be submitted to the Township Clerk at 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey 07076 on or before Thursday, May 26, 2022. A certified check, cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. Bidders must also submit a Consent of Surety with the bid, wherein the Surety agrees to furnish a performance bond if the Bidder is awarded the contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and all other applicable statutes, laws or regulations. Bidders are required to submit a valid Business Registration Certificate from the State of New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Township Clerk, bearing the name and address of the bidder, upon which shall be designated: 2022 Roadwork Assistance Program Contract E2022-1 The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:l l-13.2.
