The Town Chairman for the Township of Royalton, Waupaca County, is requesting Bids for a proposed Town Road Improvement Project (TRIP) on Landing Road, starting at Guth Road to the north toward CTH X for a distance of 4050 feet. All bids should be labeled "landing road improvement project, trip with name and address of bidder incorporated on outside of envelope. Must be in sealed envelope. Contractor is responsible for traffic control signage consistent with manual on uniform traffic control devices, low shoulder signage shall be provided by contractor. Construction includes adding gravel, pulverizing the existing asphalt with the gravel, widening roadway, reestablishing the crown of the road, and paving hot mix asphalt. Driveway openings shall have 1 ft asphalt approach placed at each entrance. Furnish and install 4 inches of WisDOT Spec 1 1/4 dense graded base material to a width of 25 feet. Install an additional 6 inches of WisDOT approved specification dense graded material in two "low areas". One approximately 270' X 25' and 540' X 25'. Will give spec sheet upon request, call: 920-596-3029. Furnish and install WisDOT spec 3/4 dense graded base course material for 2 foot gravel shoulders and driveway approaches. Note: some shouldering will be in wetland areas. Prep pavement to width of 20 feet, finish grade, water and compact the base course material. Pave with WisDOT spec type 4LT 58-28s Asphalt mix compacted to a thickness of 3 inches, placed in two lifts. Contractor must also provide the Town of Royalton a Certificate of Insurance. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to the bid payable to the Town of Royalton. The Town of Royalton reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the contractor who in the judgement of the Town of Royalton will best serve the interest of the Town of Royalton. This project is part of the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP). The letting of the described herein project is subject to the provisions of Section 62.15 and 66.29 Wis Statutes.
