Renovation of a water / sewer project in Fieldsboro, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Sealed bids will be received by the bordentown sewerage authority for the rising sun road pump station wet well modifications for the bordentown sewerage authority, burlington county, new jersey. Bid forms, contracts and specifications are available by contacting remington & vernick engineers. Contact shall be made by phone or by email to make bid purchase arrangements at 856 795 9595 or by submitting rvebidinterest@rve.Com. Bids are to be delivered to the bordentown sewerage authority. Once the contractor is in the authority parking lot, call the authority telephone number at 609- 291-9105 and an authority representative will exit the building and accept the delivery. . No bids are to be picked up at the engineer's office or at the authority's offices. Payment must be received prior to obtaining said specifications. No bids are to be dropped off at the engineer's office. Pre-bid site visits shall be scheduled in advance by contacting thomas redwood, executive director, at 609-291-9105. Masks must be worn during the entire site visit. The bordentown sewerage authority reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the bordentown sewerage authority, in accordance with applicable law. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by remington & vernick engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Said bids shall be addressed to thomas m. Redwood, executive director, 954 farnsworth avenue, bordentown, new jersey, 08505. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the bordentown sewerage authority in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the bordentown sewerage authority in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the bordentown sewerage authority in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary state, federal or local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of n.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., n.J.A.C. 17:27 (affirmative action), n.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (new jersey prevailing wage act), and americans with disabilities act of 1990 (42 u.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with n.J.S.A. 52:25- 24.2 and submit a disclosure statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with n.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public works contractor registration act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with n.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The Contractor's Work on this project consists ofthe following major components: SCOPE OF WORK SCOPE-1 In general, the work on this project consists ofthe modifications to an existing raw sewage pump station known as the "Rising Sun Road Pump Station Wet Well Modifications" for the Bordentown Sewerage Authority, Burlington County, New Jersey. The Contractor shall bid solely on Contract Number 1, solely on Contract Number 2 or both Contracts Numbers 1 and 2. The Owner will only award one ofthe contracts. - Contract No. 1 : All replaced six-inch diameter ductile iron force main piping and fittings will be ductile iron. - Contract No. 2: Exposed within the wet well all replaced six-inch diameter ductile iron force main piping and fittings will be stainless steel. Outside the wet well there is both proposed buried stainless steel and ductile iron piping and fittings in the locations shown on the drawings. 1. Provide demolition, removal, and disposal ofthe following: Existing paint system on all wet well interior surfaces, For each ofthe two pumps, removal ofthe force main piping to a location as shown on the drawings between the wet well submersible pump mounting elbow and the valve chamber, Within the wet well, the support systems for the force main piping, pump guide rail system and transducer sleeve, One bollard adjacent to the electrical junction box system, Electrical junction box support systems, All conductors from the emergency generator/electrical controls building to the electrical junction boxes. Buried electrical conduits where shown on the Drawings Bottom 4 feet ofwastewater within the wet well along with periodic rainwater and water used during construction such as from power washing the wet well interior. Accumulation of grease at various depths in the wet well some ofwhich is in the form oflayered grease and greaseballs within the wet well. Bituminous asphalt/DGA cross section, Other items as shown on the Drawings and specified herein.
