Renovation of a fire / police facility in Beavercreek, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Beavercreek Township requests proposals from qualified vendors for taking off and replacing the roof of Fire Station 61. Roof may have multiple layers of old roofing, proposal should include how much/how many layers should be removed to meet building codes for # psflive load, dead load, and ability to guarantee a no leak roof. New installation will include new flashing, boots, hubs, drains, trim caps, and any other items encountered that ensure a leak proof roof. Any exposed flashing or cap shall have color similar to station paint scheme. New 2" insulation board shall be installed Clean up and remove all debris from site when completed. Bidder must provide a schedule for completion of work The intent is to have both roofs completed at the same time or consecutively Metal decking replacement per square foot shall be included as an extra charge if inspection reveals damage. Beavercreek Township reserves the right to accept of reject any or all bids for any reason, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Beavercreek Township shall have the right to delete a unit item from the bid if necessary or proper in the sole determination of the Township. Answers Released 06/03/2022 Vendor Selection (Interviews are not anticipated) 06/21/2022 Contract Signed TBD Proposed start date TBD Scope of Services Provide a detailed technical discussion of approach to be used to meet project requirements and specification outlined under Scope of Services section. Vendors may provide additional information which would be useful to the committee in evaluating the proposal. Project Reference Summary Vendors must also provide a list of past projects similar in size and content that qualify the vendor to undertake the Beavercreek Township Fire Department project. The list of projects references must include a description of the project, contact name, title of contact person, phone number, address, and when the project was completed. The reference list should include a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of six (6). Base Bid Scope of Work: 1. To store all material on site in a safe and secure manner. 2. To perform all work in a safe manner. 3. To tear off and dispose of the EPDM membrane in the field and flashings. To tear off and dispose of the transition metal and peak flashings at shingle transitions. 4. To provide and install new 1.7" ISO mechanically fastened thru the existing insulation to the steel deck to bring the R-Value up to R-25. It is assumed that the existing insulation is 3 inches thick based on building code requirements at the time it was built. 5. To provide and install new .060 EPDM Roof system fully adhered to the substrate. 6. To flash all walls up to the peak or up to under the existing wall panels, install termination bar and terminate. 7. To flash all drains and penetrations. 8. To remove the wall ladders and reinstall with butyl sealant under the legs around anchor penetrations. 9. To terminate around louvers and electrical boxes according to manufacturer's recommendations. 10. To flash all other penetrations according to manufacturer's standard details. 11. To provide manufacturer's 20-year NDL (No Dollar Limit) warranty on all flat roofs. 12. To tear off all shingle roofs and associated drip, rake, step, and counter flashings and properly dispose of. 13. To provide and install new synthetic felt underlayment. 14. To provide and install new Ice & Water at all eaves, rakes, and valleys.
