The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners are seeking Formal Bids for the DeSoto County Fire Station #2 Parking Lot Paving and Road Open Cut Asphalt Restoration Project as described within the context of this bid. There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting for this Project. This Scope include paving of the existing 24,039 SF parking at the County's Fire Station #2 and six (6) sites of asphalt restoration over existing open cuts as outlined in the Contract Plan Set. Parking Lot Paving Site 1: Fire Station #2 Parking Area Road Open Cut Asphalt Restoration Site 2A: S.E. Airport Road Location 'A' Site 2B: S.E. Airport Road Location 'B' Site 2C: S.E. Airport Road Location 'C' Site 3: S.E. Townsend Avenue Site 4: S.E. Hereford Avenue Site 5: N.W. Kinsey County Line Road Prior to construction commencement, it is anticipated that additional culverts may be replaced by DeSoto County. Asphalt restoration similar to Sites 3 through 5 may also be required. The County will work with the selected Contractor to add any additional sites needed at the unit costs in the contract as agreed upon by both the County and the Contractor. ESTIMATE / BUDGET The Engineer's Estimate for both the Fire Station #2 and 6 road open cut asphalt restoration sites is $67,510.00. COUNTY NOTIFICATION The Contractor is required to notify the County Engineering Division at least two county work days prior to all work days. All work shall take place on Monday through Friday on non-County holidays. TIME FRAME: All work shall be complete within 60 calendar days of the notice to proceed. The total contract will be for 70 calendar days which will allow time for County inspection and correction of deficiencies if noted. The DeSoto County Engineering Division wishes to receive formal bids from Contractors for the Fiscal Year 2021/22 Annual Paving Project.
