The City of Galveston is requesting Proposals, from qualified vendors, to resurface the tennis
courts at the following locations:
o Lasker Park located at 2016 43
rd Street (5 Tennis Courts measuring 240' x 120' total)
o Lindale Park located at 400 Marine Drive (3 Tennis Courts measuring 144' x 120' total)
o Menard Park located at 2222 28
th Street (6 Tennis Courts measuring 282' x 120' total)
In order to be considered for this project, the proposer must meet the following conditions:
1. Have successfully completed a minimum of three (3) projects of similar scope and
complexity over the past five (5) years.
2. Must be able to document the required experience within three (3) days of the City's
request.
The City reserves the right to award all or one of the tennis courts to one or multiple vendors
3.4.1 Technical Specifications
Work shall include all materials, labor, equipment, staffing, supervision, accessories and
incidentals for the cleaning, repair and resurfacing of tennis court excluding the nets, which
will be provided by the Parks and Recreation Department.
A. Scope of Work
1. Power wash all courts with at least 4000 PSI pressure washer.
2. Clean all exposed cracks.
3. Flood all courts and mark low spots.
4. Fill all low spots on courts and repair cracks.
5. Repair any lose anchors for center straps.
6. Install anchors at out pickle ball lines for straps on all courts.
7. Sand down all repaired cracks and filled spots to smooth finish.
8. Apply one (1) coats of black acrylic resurfacing paint.
9. Apply two (2) coats of royal blue color to inside playing areas.
10. Apply two (2) coats of green color to outer areas.
11. Sand and paint net posts on all courts.
12. Paint all tennis lines in white on all courts.
13. Paint all pickleball lines in light blue on all courts.
14. Install new nets (provided by Parks and Recreation)
