Site work for a water / sewer project in Camden, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Hydrostructures, on behalf of the City of Camden, is soliciting proposals from qualified Contractors for the installation of approximately 1,590 LF of 8 inch Cured-in-Place Liner (CIPP), 1,000 LF of 15-inch CIPP, 220 LF of Pipe Bursting 6 to 8-inch and 400 LF of Pipe Bursting 15 to 15-inch. The work area will be in downtown Camden, near the intersection of Hwy. 1 & Hwy. 521. Proposals should be inclusive of all labor, equipment and materials required to complete the work detailed in the attached plans and specifications by Hydrostructures, sealed by Mike Ping, P.E on April 21, 2022. Project Information: • Time period for construction: 60 days from the issuance of the Contract/Notice to Proceed. Bids will be evaluated based on price. • Contractor shall obtain Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. • A bid bond of 5% is required. • Dekalb Street is an SCDOT Roadway. When working within SCDOT Right-of-Way, no lane closures shall occur between the hours of 7 and 9 AM and 3 and 7 PM, Monday through Friday. SCDOT certified Work Zone Flaggers shall perform any necessary traffic flagging. • Public notification, traffic control, acceptance testing, and mobilization shall be incidental and included in the unit cost for the project. • Unit quantities may be adjusted +/- 100%. • Contractor shall be responsible for line diameter and material verification. Contractor shall not be reimbursed for mis-ordering or loss of material. • The City of Camden follows statutory requirements for awarding contracts, and will award the work to the contractor identified as the “lowest, responsive, responsible bidder; taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the contract. • Bid items are intended to be inclusive of all work and material shown on the drawings and all work and material necessary to complete the project. • UV cured CIPP liner and traditional felt based, steam/water cured liner are considered equals.
