The City of Springfield is requesting proposals for the redevelopment of the multi-unit building located at 169 Maple Street. This building was constructed circa 1920, has five levels, contains 30,552 square feet and is located on a 7,454 square foot lot, zoned Commercial A. The parcel# is 08218-0165 and has an assessed property value of $150,000.00. The City is including a vacant lot at SS Central Street that may be considered by developers as a possible location for designated parking for the property. The parcel# is 05260-0220 and has an assessed value of $20,900.00 While the financial benefits of a proposal are important to the selection of a developer, coupled with all selection criteria, the City will also consider the broader fiscal and economic benefits to be realized from the redevelopment project. The City will not be obligated to select the proposer offering the highest purchase price if another proposal better satisfies the selection criteria and other requirements of this RFP as a whole. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than June 24, 2022 by 4:30 P.M. to Katie Vegh at kvegh@springfield cityhall.com . The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
