Saving Project...

Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Cache Jct, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. Replace and install new culvert across the Bonneville Shoreline Trail along the east Bench area of Cache Valley. Must attend Mandatory Site Visit to Bid. Utah DNR Forestry, Fire and State Lands is working to improve access for emergency vehicles responding to fires in the wildland urban interface (WUI.) The area of the proposed project is along the east bench of Cache Valley, one of the fastest growing WUI areas in the Bear River Area of northern Utah. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail runs along the east bench of Cache Valley and acts as a service road between Dry Canyon and Millville Canyon above the continuous "deer fence" that parallels the trail. The intention of the project is to ensure that emergency vehicles can traverse the service road in case wildland fires threaten residential areas below the deer fence, and conversely, provide vehicular access to prevent wildfires from escaping into the wildlands east of the fence. In one particular location, the trail/road crosses a spring that is conducted under the trail by a rudimentary wood and stone culvert. In order to support fire engines using the road/trail for access, the culvert will need to be upgraded to support vehicles with a GVW rating of 50,000 lbs. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.MT. Any prospective bidder who arrives late to the meeting will not be allowed to continue with the site visit nor submit a bid. Failure to attend the site visit shall result in the disqualification of any bidder that does not have an authorized representative attend the entire duration of the mandatory site visit. This includes not taking calls/text during the site visit. Phones may be used to take pictures. All discussion not related to the site visit must be done after the site visit as to not be a disturbance during the site visit. An attendance log will be maintained including the name of each attendee, the entity the attendee is representing, and the attendee's contact information, minutes of the site visit, and copies of any documents distributed by the conducting procurement unit to the attendees and shall be published as an addendum to the solicitation. Any verbal modifications made to any of the solicitation documents during the mandatory site visit shall be reduced to writing and will be published as an addendum to the solicitation. Offerors should supplement the mandatory site visit by examining the area on their own time. Question Submission Close Date Expedient construction schedule with a completion date of August 1, 2022 6/13/2022 2:00 PM MDT Estimated costs for the fabrication and installation are $15,000.00
