Demolition and removal of the entire 5,540 S.F. building that was formerly the Pot Stop and Little Baja pottery retail businesses, including the removal of the building extension at the rear of the building (utilized by Monterey Bay Kayaks).Demolition includes entire building except for concrete slab and foundations. The existing electrical panels are to remain, as shown in the drawings and existing trees and vegetation on site to remain. Existing stored pipe and other materials to remain. Remove and replace existing chain-link fencing around entire site perimeter. (Refer to plans for image of existing) The planned time frame for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: 60 days from the start date specified in Owner's issuance of Notice to Proceed. Questions regarding the Project, the bid procedures or any of the Contract Documents must be submitted by email (NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE) to Tommy Razzeca. Final questions to be submitted in writing no later than five (5) business days prior to bid opening date and time. Responses shall be issued to all bidders no later than two (2) business days prior to bid opening date. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to Owner, or a bid bond executed by a-surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that upon award of the bid, the bidder will execute the Contract and submit payment and performance bonds and insurance certificates as required by the Contract Documents within ten days after issuance of the notice of award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Price. This Project is subject to the state and federal (Davis-Bacon) prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes.
